As a business mentor you will
Offer a space for reflection of the student opportunity programme
Offer a different perspective to the young person
Build up a rapport and trust with the student
Improve a students self esteem, self confidence
Be a positive role model
Work with student and find out what they really want to do in the future
Empower the a student to take control of their future
Break down barriers between business and young people

All our Business mentors, volunteer to a 1 hour a week session , either in person or online . This runs parallel to the Opportunity placement and lasts for 16 weeks.

Rise futures will provide you with full training for the role. The training lasts a couple of hours and can be done in person and online.

There will always be support available for the business mentor. we understand that the role is as rewarding as it can be challenging.
We provide resources so that our Business mentor’s feel equipped to face different scenario’s and we are also always available to step in and help at a moments notice.

The role is a voluntary role. This means that as a charity we are so thankful to the Business mentor for freely giving their time to help impact the lives of our young people.
